Here’s one for your diary. Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 7 on 14th January 2020!
Well, you’ll still be able to use Windows 7 after January 14th, but your PC will become more vulnerable to security risks. There’ll be no more updates and patch fixes which fundamentally hold back a tidal wave of exploits and vulnerabilities that could cripple your computer.
Upgrade, or accept your fate. By all means, you can carry on using Windows 7 until early next year, but it’s important to start thinking about upgrading before the deadline.
Upgrading to Windows 10 will get you back on track. It may have had a few teething issues, but Microsoft is continually working on making it a great operating system.
If you have an older machine, however, you may need to check that it’s capable of running Windows 10. If it’s not, you may need to look into getting a new machine. Slightly more drastic than upgrading but definitely better than suffering an attack and losing all your data!
We all dislike change, it’s just normal. But when it comes to something important like your operating system, your company and staff will benefit by having the latest Microsoft products installed.
