3 ways to optimise your website for lead generation

In order to stand out in today’s ultra-competitive market, businesses need a well-polished website that’s not only attractive, but keeps the attention of their visitors.

So what can you do to ensure that your website is hitting the mark?

1. Make sure your design ties in with your marketing goals

This will likely be to generate interest in your products or services. So ensure that your design gets your audience’s attention. Also, consider who your audience is – some types of customers might prefer flashing images while others might prefer a more sophisticated style.

2. Make it easy for visitors

Search engine optimisation (SEO), conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and user experience (UX) will, if done right, make it easy for your customers to find you and interact with you online.

You may need to invest time (and sometimes money) in getting higher up in search rankings. You may want to look at your calls to action, page speed, and mobile responsiveness. I also suggest you track your metrics including traffic volume, bounce rates and conversion rates. Google Analytics is a great tool for this by the way.

Put yourself in the shoes of your customers and see just how easy it is for them to get from a search engine, all the way through to submitting a contact form for example.

3. Showcase your best work

Perhaps the best use of a website is when it shows off the great work it’s done for its clients – be it through testimonials or case studies. This works particularly well where you can use both images and content to display your best work.

These are just a few of the ways you can optimise your website for lead generation. If you’re not sure if your website is working for you, or are looking for something new, let me know.
